2016 what a great year, but what defines this year, of course the presidential election. The two major candidates are Donald Trump, and Hillary Clinton. Let’s get some background info on these men and women.
Hillary Clinton was born on October 26, 1947 at Edgewater hospital in Chicago. She attended Yale law school and Wellesley college and has a PhD in law and a masters degree in Business marketing, she retained a 4.0 GPA throughout college. She would later on go to marry Bill Clinton who was the 42nd president of the United States of America elected in 1992, but served from 1993-2001. In 2008, Hillary fought a very hard battle for Presidential election but lost to President Obama. Obama later on went to offer her a job as the Secretary of State.
Donald Trump, born on June 14, 1946 in Queens, New York City, New York. He attended Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, which, according to Biography.com , is known to be one of the best Business schools in America at the time. Trump had many influences in real estate development, but the main influence was his dad, Fred Trump. In 1971 Trump was given full control of his father’s company, formally known as Elizabeth Trump & son, he renamed it as the Trump Organization. He would then go on to lease a site on Fifth Avenue opposite of Tiffany in 1979, it was going to be a 200 million dollar apartment-retail complex. In 1982 it was named the Trump Tower, it was a 58 story building with a 80 foot waterfall, this building went on to be know as the rebirth to the manhattan skyline. Trump would lose a majority of his empire over time and regain it. He would go on to be married 3 times and have 3 children.
Donald Trump’s views on immigration are very controversial. He says that if he was president he would be more tough on immigration laws. One way he would enforce that law would be by building a wall so that illegal immigrants can’t come in. Another one of Trump’s views on illegal immigration is that they are polluting the country and ruining other people’s lives by importing bad thing like drugs, rapists, and they are also committing crimes. Something that he mentioned many times was that if any illegal immigrants come into the United States he would send them back even if they have a H-1B because they require perfect documentation. H-1B is a visa for illegal immigrants who have to come into the US usually because employers give temporary jobs to workers who have experience. Another thing Donald Trump talks about is how obamacare is not a sufficient health care system. He said it is not good for people to pay such a high price for poor quality health care. For National Security Donald Trump wants to rebuild our military. If any terrorist wants to come in, he will use the waterboarding method which has a bag over their head and then they have cold water poured on top so that they can’t breathe.
Hillary Clinton’s actions in the past have led her to run for president in 2016 from her serving as the first woman as the U.S. Senator in New York,helping New York after 9/11 by giving about $20 billion. The things she has done around the world from helping around have made her think she meets the requirements and sure she will do her most to make America a place a of equality ,and freedom. Some of the important issues that should be fixed by our new president are immigration,economy/jobs,healthcare, education,and national security . Hillary’s point of view over immigration is that our American fundamentals are that we should treats immigrants with respect and dignity and not deny them. Even though many people think that immigrants are bad for America Hillary thinks differently she thinks we should treat everyone equal and immigrants help the economy by working in many jobs we have here in America. If Hillary was to become president she insists that she would make anything to make DACA and DAPA possible. DACA(Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals)/DAPA is a reform where if you have a son or daughter that is a citizen the legal parent that is an immigrant can become citizen of the United States.If Hillary was to become president her way of improving economy is to make sure every person in America has a well payed job ( high and low social class). Another way she would make the economy better is by cutting taxes on small businesses in order for them to grow and have a basic fairness to the tax code. Hillarys point of view over health is that everyone should have affordable health care even if you are an immigrant,and would try to reduce the cost of many expensive medicines. Education is important factor to the United States many people go through K-12 but many can’t afford college Hillary’s say’s if she were to become president she would make college free of debt. She will also make sure every children should have a high-quality education and not based on their background. National security is an important factor to the United States Hillary thinks in order to have a strong national security we should stick with our allies and be strong as a nation.These were some of the several issues on the United States and Hillary Clinton’s point of view and how if she were to become president she would fix them in order to become stronger as a nation.
